A guard stood alone and tall in front of a wall at least twenty times the size of him. It was thick, and stretched wide enough to border the whole province. It was an old, old wall, baige in colour, and long-preceded the guard's life. In fact, it preceded the earliest born member recorded on his family tree. Unlike some walls, this one would likely remain standing long after the world it contained shriveled, faded, and died. Nevertheless, as walls do occasionally get, a few cracks had appeared here and there. But they were all painted over, and so hardly noticable. There weren't really enough guards to check all the spots around the wall, but
It was a blue world. The sky, after all, was always a deep blue. The clouds in that sky were always incredibly translucent, and grey – with a blue tint. The grass was a slighter darker shade of blue than the sky, and the sea always completely lacked that greenish quality. It almost certainly always lacked a brownish quality, unless someone had spent a long time relieving in it.
